MRGC Outdoor Range

The MRGC outdoor range offers a variety of amenities for the shooting enthusiast.  The range offers four practical pistol ranges, a rifle range and a shotgun sports range.

The pistol shooters enjoy a facility that includes silhouettes and moveable target stands.  The rifle shooters enjoy a covered bench area with ten benches,  permanent target stands at a variety of distances and steel gong targets at a variety of distances.  The rifle shooters also hold many fun and competitive organized events throughout the year.  The monthly cowboy shoots are held on both the pistol and rifle ranges. All shotgun sports are conducted on the east end of the facility.

The MRGC outdoor range is located on U.S. Hwy 50, 1/4th mile west of the turnoff to the south rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Monument (5 miles east of Montrose city limits).

MRGC Outdoor Range:

The rifle and pistol areas of the range are "self use" facilities that are available only to club members.  Once a member ship is obtained, rifle and pistol shooters can shoot at their convenience at the outdoor facility.
The rifle and pistol ranges are closed however on Monday evenings from 5:00 pm to dark (year round) and on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.  Both times are during scheduled skeet events that conflict with the use of the rifle range.

Cowboy Shoots are held the second Sunday of each calendar month.

Shotgun sports can only be shot during club sanctioned hours when each particular facility has been opened.

Cost:
Rifle and Pistol shooting are free with membership.
Please see the Cowboy Shooters page, or the particular shotgun sports page for pricing on these activities.
